Keeping your New Year’s Resolution in Three Steps

Happy March, everyone!  Wow, can you believe we’ve already had two twelfths of the new year pass us by?  I certainly can’t!

Here, today, to give us a few pointers on keeping those resolutions you set just over two months ago is Karen from LookBook Store.

How many times have you been telling yourself that this is the best time to start something new and make a difference?  How many times have you told yourself that you’ll be living a healthier lifestyle than the last?  Many times right?

Every year, we make new (well, sometimes…) resolutions.  We try to follow and then after a few days, we forget about them; so if you’re slacking off in following through your resolutions, perhaps these tips can help:

  1. Be specific on the things you want to achieve this year. Want to achieve a  toned bod this year?  Want to  shred a few pounds?  Sure you can!  What about living a healthy lifestyle?  Write down the things you want to achieve this year and make a timeline for each of them.  Being clear on what you want to achieve can help you stay focused.
  1. Start with small steps.  Once you’re done outlining the things you want to get this year, the next step you’ll need to do is to act on them. But how?  Move, start with small steps – baby steps if you’d like.  It’s easier to start doing small things while climbing your way up to reaching your goal.  If you’re in a hurry to see the results, chances are you’ll lose interest sooner than expected.  Just enjoy the journey and you’ll surely love the results!
  1. Reward yourself.  After your hard work, you deserve to give yourself a treat.  Go shopping for a new outfit where you can show off and shake off all the negative vibes in your life.  Also,  spending a day at a spa is a great way to relieve stress.  Relax and live a little but don’t forget your goals.
