If you’re like me and still don’t know what you’ll be wearing to your New Year’s Eve party, then keep reading, because I’ve got a few consideration points for you.
To start, my best advice would be to spend some time and really consider what’s likely to work best for you on the night. This is crucial; so you’ll thank me later – if you’re not a fan of skin-tight dresses, this is not the night to try one; if you’ve never worn a longer, fuller skirt but have one waiting in your wardrobe, hold on to it for just a little while longer. Don’t rush in to anything, and just try a few different outfits on, to get a feel for what you’re going to want to wear.
Off Shoulder Lace Dress
If you feel a bit daring, try wearing an off-shoulder dress. They’re as appealing as they are elegant; an off-shoulder top or dress is practically a pin up staple. Spend New Year’s in this style and you’ll definitely turn heads.
If showing off your shoulders isn’t your thing but you want to ‘flash some flesh’, then consider a backless dress. They’re great for gals with backpieces, but look just as stunning on gals who favour the ink-less look. Try on a backless dress or two and see how you’ll wow the masses.
Or, if all else fails, then it’s time to turn to everyone’s old favourite: a simple little black dress. Remember, simplicity is beauty, and the black colour will be the perfect background for some jewellery pieces, whether you prefer classic pearls or something with a bit more glitz.
Oh, and before I forget, sequinned or glittery dresses will work just as well as any of the dresses I mentioned here. You can read more about them here. Happy styling!
